Congrats to the deadly Bindi-Lee team: Growing People, Not Just a Business

BindiLee Painting Services is an Aboriginal-owned business dedicated to bringing cultural richness to Brisbane Northern Suburbs and the Moreton Bay Region through residential painting, murals, and custom artwork. We were stoked to have BindiLee and her two amazing apprentices join us for our first ever Try-a-Trade workshop earlier this year.

At the same time, BindiLee Painting Services was marking a very special moment - check it out below.

A Full Circle Moment for Our Apprentices

Sydnie, our three-year apprentice, will be attending her final block of Trade College — a milestone that reflects years of hard work, resilience, growth, and commitment to her trade. Watching her step into this final stage of her apprenticeship is something I am incredibly proud of. From her early days learning the basics to now confidently working on site and developing her skills, her journey has been inspiring to witness.

At the very same time, Demi — who joined us this year as a school-based apprentice — will be attending her very first block of Trade College. For Demi, this is the beginning of her formal trade training, the first step in building her pathway in the industry. Seeing her start this journey reminds me why creating opportunities for young people, especially young women, in the trades matters so deeply.

To have one apprentice completing her final block while another begins her first is a powerful full-circle moment for our business.

As a First Nations, female-led painting company, supporting apprenticeships is more than just training staff — it’s about creating real pathways, building confidence, and strengthening representation in our industry. Apprenticeships provide structure, education, hands-on experience, and a future in the trades. They create independence, skills for life, and leadership.

I am proud of Sydnie. I am proud of Demi. And I am proud that BindiLee Painting Services continues to be a place where young women can step into the trade with support, guidance, and belief in their potential.

This is what growth looks like — not just for a business, but for people.

And this is only the beginning.
